Won't a do-it-yourself machine do the same job?
In reality it is not just the machine that does the job of cleaning your carpets successfully. A thorough carpet cleaning job is tremendously affected by the technician as well. You can trust that each of our technicians at Snyder’s Carpet Care are IICRC certified, but they are also committed to continual education so they will remain abreast in the very latest innovations in the carpet cleaning industry. As to the proficiency of the machine, we use nothing but the very best in technology designed by Rotovac.
How long does it take my carpets to dry completely?
Your carpets should be completely dry between 6-8 hours after cleaning.
Will carpet cleaning cause mold to grow in my carpet?
Due to the fact that mold must have an organic feeding source, it is highly unlikely that mold would ever grow within the carpet. However mold can grow within the soils of the carpet if it is left severely wet for 48-72 hours.
Do I need to pre-vacuum before my carpets are cleaned?
At Snyder's Carpet Care, we strongly suggest to vacuum before your scheduled carpet cleaning treatment. This will provide you with the maximum cleaning results once your carpets have dried.

How often do I need to have my carpets cleaned?
Depending on traffic, the size of the household, whether or not you have children or pet's, there are many factors to consider when determining the frequency of your carpet cleaning. However a good rule of thumb to follow is to have your carpets cleaned at least every 6-8 months.
Why is it necessary to have my carpets cleaned twice a year?
Snyder’s Carpet Care recommends having your carpets cleaned for a number of reasons, but most importantly, sanitation. Even though you vacuum regularly and to the eye they appear clean. In realty they are not. If not cleaned on a consistent basis, your carpet becomes breeding grounds for harmful bacteria, germs and other microorganisms. Allergy causing agents such as pet hair, dander, and pollen can also dwell within the fibers and remain a problem long after the allergy season is gone. The other primary reason to clean your carpets regularly is simply to protect your investment against having to install new carpet. Because your high traffic areas take a lot of wear and tear and more dirt is embedded into those fibers, by not cleaning, you are actually reducing the life of your carpet. Bottom line: "more dirt, less carpet life, more money in the long run."

How does cleaning my air ducts benefit me?
There are many benefits to having your air ducts cleaned on a routine basis. Here a just a few that every consumer or homeowner should be aware of.
1. Nine out of ten A/C system failures are caused by dirt and dust.
2. According to studies conducted by The Environmental Protection Agency, if there is more than .042 inches of dirt on the heating or cooling coils, then you are possibly losing up to 21% of the efficiency of your heating and cooling system.
3. Because 95% of the dust travels through the filters into your home, by cleaning your air ducts routinely, you will reduce the dust that is collected on your furniture.
4. The dust that remains in your system will accumulate on the fan blades of the blower motor, the grills, or the inside of your ductwork will reduce the airflow by up to 40%. This can be prevented by having your air ducts cleaned on a routine basis.
Do you guarantee pet odor removal?
Pet odor can be extremely annoying for the homeowner. At Snyder’s Carpet Care we sympathize with you. As pet owners ourselves, we understand your predicament. Contrary to other stains, the fact that the soiling actually is far deeper than just the surface of the carpet and carpet backing, pet odor is very hard to remove. Depending upon the extent of the damage, the odor may go as far as the concrete, which would result in treating not only the carpet, carpet padding, but also the concrete. When treating pet soiling, we begin with a topical or surface level treatment which must be permitted to set for approximately 20 minutes. Once complete, we will then apply an enzyme which can be sprayed not only on the carpet but also on the baseboards. This enzyme is designed to deodorize and kill any bacteria which may be present within the fibers of the carpet. As pet owners, we all must realize our home is their home and they are family members too. When owning a home and a pet, it is important to find a happy balance in the two so that everyone is happy, including "Snowball"!
Does your cleaning process soak the backing of the carpet?
Although our process rinses the carpet deep down, moisture does not penetrate the backing of the carpet. With our powerful truck-mounted powered equipment, your carpet is thoroughly rinsed, but left only damp to the touch.
